Clinton man dead after motorcycle wreck

CLINTON, MS (WLBT) - A Clinton man was killed in a motorcycle accident this week.

Clinton Police Chief Don Byington said Wednesday the wreck happened Monday evening on Springridge Road.

24-year-old John Barnette of Clinton died when his motorcycle struck a car that pulled out of the Springridge Apartment Complex.

Byington said Barnette was seen doing wheelies on the bike before the accident.

Barnette., who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.

The driver of the car was unhurt.
