NEW ALBANY, Miss. (AP) - Worthington Cylinders, a supplier of pressure tanks and pressure cylinders, plans to expand of its Mississippi plant and add 80 new jobs over the next five years.
Harry Goussetis, president of Worthington Cylinders, says 30 jobs will be added this year. Currently, the New Albany facility employs 165 workers.
In 2009, Worthington acquired Piper Metal Forming of New Albany. The company recently acquired Virginia-based Hy-Mark Cylinders and will relocate Hy-Mark's physical assets to New Albany.
Goussetis says the existing medical cylinder product line will be expanded and new products such as scuba tanks and cylinders for carbon dioxide used in beverage service applications will be added.
Worthington Cylinders is a division of Worthington Industries, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
