JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Construction is expected to resume on a downtown hotel project soon.
Building was stalled for months on the Sleep Inn and Suites property after financing delays.
The 68 room, $4.7 million hotel is being built on Gallatin Street between Pearl and Scapula Streets.
The Jackson redevelopment authority bought the property from the hotel's development team in February after their original financing plan failed.
JRA's plan was to sell it back to them by August 1 after they secure alternate financing.
The hotel's projected opening has now been pushed back to October.
