Authorities search for two suspects in morning shooting

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Police are searching for two men after an early morning shootout in west Jackson.

Authorities tell WLBT three men forced their way into a resident in the 61-hundred block of Lyn Avenue around 3 a.m.

A panic alarm sounded and the men fled the residence after shooting one unidentified person in the stomach. No word on their condition tonight. A chase ensued and the vehicle crashed. Two men escaped but the third was apprehended.

Police believe robbery was the motive.
