JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Jackson man who confessed on camera to shooting his estranged wife is now headed to prison.
"I messed up that's all I got to say, I had a chance to stay at home and mind my business, I didn't go to kill, real talk, I went to talk, I told her friend and the lady that was there if she panicked I was gonna shoot her," said Jameil Clark, husband to the victim. Clark gave the statement on the night of August 26th 2009.
Clark shot his wife Tina in the chest at a friend's home. She was hiding from her husband after he made threats towards her, her children and her family days before the shooting, Tina Clark survived the shooting.
Twenty-nine year old Clark was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
