WARREN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - The Warren County Sheriff's Department is asking for help on behalf of an injured deputy.  Mississippi Blood Services will have their mobile unit at the site on Tuesday, July 6th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Deputy David Lambert was involved in a serious car accident while on duty June 24th.  He is currently listed in critical condition at University Medical Center.  Lambert has been with the Sheriff's Department for six months.

"We're just hoping and praying that we'll see a full recovery. (We're hoping) that he can get back to his family and back to the job he loves and he's done well," said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.

"The blood might not necessarily go to the officer or the person you are helping out, but it helps supply and replenish the blood supply that they use.  That's why we ask people to come out," said Mississippi Blood Services Spokesperson Tony Bahou.
