TYLERTOWN, Miss. (AP) - Walthall County Sheriff Duane Dillon says a fugitive who escaped during an April funeral service for his grandmother in Tylertown has been caught in Mexico.
Dillon tells the McComb Enterprise-Journal that authorities in Cabo San Lucas this past week arrested Dustin Broussard and his wife, Alysha, who lawmen believe aided in the escape.
Dillon says the pair was turned over to U.S. marshals and were in a Phoenix, Ariz., jail pending their return to Mississippi.
Dillon says Broussard was in the county jail awaiting a hearing for probation violation in connection with third-offense DUI and arson convictions.
Dillon says Broussard will be charged with escape and Alysha Broussard will be charged with aiding and abetting a fugitive.
