GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) - The Greenville City Council has approved the purchase of 9 new sewer pumps from the Eshelman Company.
The Delta Democrat Times reports the council approved the $123,000 purchase Tuesday.
The pumps are designed to maintain the flow of solid waste in the sewage system.
Brad Jones, public works director, said some of the pumps the city has are almost 40 years old.
