RAYMOND, MS (WLBT) - After spending one year in Kuwait, the Army National Guard's 210th Financial Management Company is back on American soil.
Friday morning, the soldiers and their families were treated to a welcome home ceremony at the Readiness Center in Raymond.
The 31-soldier unit conducted military pay operations for personnel in several areas. While overseas, the 210th won an award for most improved financial management office in theater.
We asked a few soldiers what their immediate plans are, here at home.
"Spend time with my kids and wife, get reacquainted, and some yard work," says Staff Sergeant Kevin McGruder.
"Get some good food, good Mississippi cooking, enjoy my family," says Sergeant Phillip Walker, Jr.
The soldiers will get a month off, then take part in a Yellow Ribbon Program that helps them transition back into civilian life.
