RANKIN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Rescue personnel responded to a report of a possible drowning in Rankin County Friday afternoon.
It happened on Highway 43 near Safe Harbor Marina.
Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Spokesman Sgt. Jim Walker said 90-year old man was in the water catfish grabbing.
Authorities are still conducting interviews with witnesses.
They are not releasing the name of the victim, but we do know he was a World War II veteran.
Walker believes the victim either drowned or suffered a fatal heart attack.
