Who will make top 10 at the Miss Mississippi Pageant?

VICKSBURG, MS (WLBT) - The excitement has been building all week and even long time pageant followers are trying to figure out just who will make the top ten.

Friday night three more winners in preliminary competition. In talent, Caitlyn Smith, Miss Delta Blues.

"I feel like all the hard work has paid off. I really put a lot of effort into this piece, learning a new one from last year and I just went out here and I had fun," said Smith.

Smith also won a preliminary in 2009 but did not make the top ten. In swimwear a tie for Miss Rankin County Southwest, Megan Miller and Jill Duckworth, Miss Spirit of the South.

"I've lost over 20 pounds to get ready for this and just gotten really lean and healthy," Duckworth said.

 "just dancing all week and eating grilled chicken and salads for every meal and being around the girls and we work out together in the dressing room," Miller added.

Only two contestants won in both talent and swimwear preliminaries. Miss Rankin County Southwest, and Miss Mid-South, Danielle Smith. Smith and Mary Margaret Roark, Miss Meridian won in swimwear Wednesday.

In talent a tie with Miss Rankin County Southwest, Megan Miller and Miss Heritage, Ashley Brook Wieronski. Thursday night no ties. In swimwear, Fenly Akers, Miss Mississippi State University was the winner and in talent, Danielle Smith, Miss Mid-South.

This is the first time in four years of trying for the Miss Mississippi crown that Danielle Smith has won both talent and swimwear preliminaries.
