TYLERTOWN, MS (WLBT) – A passerby spots a burning vehicle in the early morning hours, leading Walthall county authorities to the site of a fatal accident.
Walthall County Deputy Coroner Bernard Ginn said 26 year old Tyrone Holmes of Tylertown was killed in that one car accident.
Firefighters responded to the scene around 4:20 a.m. Saturday.
Investigators said Holmes ran at stop sign at the intersection of Oak Grove Road and Highway 583 in Tylertown.
The 2000 Buick LeSabre skidded across the roadway and hit a tree, ejecting Holmes from the wreckage.
The car then caught fire.
Holmes suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
