Traffic alert for Lakeland Dr./Airport Road

RANKIN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - MDOT is working to improve travel in Rankin County.

Crews were working at the intersection of Lakeland Drive and Airport Road Sunday evening in preparation for Monday's opening of a new turn lane.

Milling and paving will be underway at the intersection.

Officials say there will now be two turn lanes at the traffic signal at Lakeland Drive south and Airport Road.

It will be open to motorists Monday around noon.
