Murder suspect off the street

Jackson, MS (WLBT) - Jackson police say they have made an arrest in the case of a man who was run over in a restaurant parking lot.

Twenty-year-old Julius Reed, Jr. is charged with capital murder in the death of Franklin Salas.

Last month Salas interrupted the break in of his S-U-V at the Crawdad Hole restaurant, located across from Smith Wills Stadium. The suspect took off in a car and ran over Salas.

Police are not saying what information led to Reed's arrest.
