JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - One Jackson library is closed until further notice. This, after thieves broke in and ransacked the public building.
Fannie Lou Hamer library on Albermarle Road was hit sometime in the early morning hours, Tuesday. Officials say they got into the building after smashing out a window.
5 computers were stolen. Glass and books were scattered all over the floor according to Caroline McKellum, the Jackson Hinds Library Commission Director.
Library officials are in the process of cleaning up the library and securing replacement computers.
