JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Just over two months ago, severe weather wreaked havoc on several Mississippi counties. Now, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says debris removal is complete in two areas and will be in others on Friday.
Removal in Yazoo City and Durant was finished Monday.
And officials say the work in Attala, Choctaw, Holmes, Monroe, and Yazoo counties will be done by this Friday.
The approximate cost of debris removal and reduction was seven-point-five-million dollars.
