RANKIN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A truck driver was injured when a wild turkey slammed into his windshield on Interstate 20 near Pelahatchie late Wednesday morning.
The driver of the 18-wheeler flatbed managed to steer the westbound rig to the side of the road.
AMR responded to the scene and transported the driver with non-life threatening injuries to a local hospital.
The windshield was knocked completely out by the collision.
The truck was registered to Howell Trucking in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
