JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Four Jackson men were sentenced to federal prison for selling crack cocaine. Fifty-nine-year old Jimmy W. "Cheatta" Gathrite, Sr. was sentenced on Wednesday to serve five years and two months in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
He is serving time for possession with the intent to distribute eleven and a half grams of "crack" cocaine. Jimmy Gathrite, Jr. pled guilty in October of last year and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Orlando Gathrite was sentenced to two years and eight months and Raymon Gathrite will serve five years for intent to distribute crack cocaine.
All four convictions resulted from an undercover operation conducted by the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
