JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A motorcycle accident Monday morning sent one man to the hospital.
It happened just after 6:15 A.M. in the Southbound lanes of Interstate 55, just south of the Elton Road exit.
Police said a motorcyclist was riding to work when he hit a pothole, causing him to veer off the interstate and end up in a grassy area between the interstate and the frontage road.
The 31-year-old was taken to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.
Police on the scene would not release the driver's name. They said his brother planned to retrieve the bike from the scene.
