New British P.M. visits Washington Tuesday

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama welcomes Britain's new prime minister Tuesday.

It's David Cameron's first White House visit since taking power in May, though he did see the president at the G20 summit in Toronto.

And the agenda for this meeting can be summed up in two words: Afghanistan and oil.

The British have 10,000 troops in Afghanistan and are backing Obama's surge, but Cameron's indicated he wants his soldiers home by 2015.

On the BP oil spill, Cameron's expected to press Obama for a better indication of the likely final cost.

The company estimates it's spent nearly $4 billion already.
