Fugitive caught in south Miss.

PICAYUNE, Miss. (AP) - A Holmes County man who authorities say dieted long enough to squeeze through an air vent and escape has been arrested in south Mississippi.

Justin Vickers, with the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. marshal's office, says 42-year-old Bruce Harrell was arrested Friday after he checked into a Picayune hotel.

Harrell was being held in the Pearl River County jail and was expected to be returned to Holmes County this week.

He escaped from the Holmes County jail on June 11. Harrell climbed through the duct to the roof and over a fence. Authorities say Harrell had made a dummy out of sheets and an old uniform.

Harrell was being held on an arson charge.
