Okolona senator set to undergo brain surgery

JACKSON, MS (AP)--Longtime state senator, Jack Gordon, is scheduled to undergo brain surgery Friday.

The procedure is set to be performed at UMC.

Surgeons are trying to determine whether a tumor on the 65 year old's right frontal lobe can be removed.

Back in March, the Okolona senator was hospitalized for several days after suffering seizures.
