JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A spokesperson for a Biloxi casino is now saying the arrest of MDOT Executive Director Larry Butch Brown was all a misunderstanding.
Brown was arrested early Friday morning at the Beau Rivage Casino and charged with misdemeanor public intoxication. He was released on a $480.00 bond.
Brown says he was playing a slot machine when a security guard told him he had dozed off. The MDOT director says he told the security guard he would get his money and go to his room, but the guard said he would have to leave the property.
The casino security guard placed him under a citizens arrest for disorderly conduct. A Beau Rivage spokeswoman says a"misunderstanding" occurred in the police being called. She said the issue has been resolved and it's considered case closed.
