Teen injured by mother's boyfriend

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - An 18-year-old is injured protecting his mother from her boyfriend.

It happened in the 37-hundred block of Veld Drive in Jackson. JPD responded to a domestic dispute between a woman and her boyfriend. The woman's teen son jumped between the two and was cut with a kitchen knife in the left hand by Richard Keefer.

The teen was transported to CMMC with non-life threatening injuries.

Keefer is now in police custody.
