MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ (WLBT) - Arizona's controversial immigration law is dealing with a serious blow.
Wednesday, a federal judge put most of the crackdown on hold just hours before it was to take effect.
"I have compassion, but I tell you one thing: Enforcing the law overrides the compassion," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The ruling was a victory for the Obama administration, but state officials are vowing to appeal the judgment.
