Guilty verdict announced in 3-year-old murder case

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A guilty verdict is delivered Wednesday by a Hinds County jury in a three-year-old murder case.

24-year-old Mark Armon was convicted in the shooting death of Christopher Adagbonyin.

The murder took place in September 2007 on Rutledge Avenue near Medgar Evers Boulevard.

Adagbonyin was hit when shots were fired at the vehicle he was driving.

After he was hit, he crashed his blue Chevrolet Impala into a tree.

Armon's conviction carries a life sentence.

A second suspect, Dominique Mobley, is awaiting trial.
