JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Mississippi's first children's museum got a huge boost in funding this week.
The Cellular South Foundation donated $1 million to the Mississippi Children's Museum to help complete construction on the 40-thousand square foot facility.
The donation puts the museum within reach of its capital campaign goal of $26.6 million, with just under a $1 million left to raise.
The museum is set to open in December of this year.
