FLOWWOD, MS (WLBT) - Blue Cross of Mississippi employees were sent home early Friday, after an accident at their Flowood headquarters.
Flowood police Captain David Gammill says a man was badly burned, while working in the electrical plant just before 9 a.m..
Gammil said the electrician received a flash burn that covered 30 to 40 percent of his body. The burn victim was taken to U.M.C. For treatment.
Blue Cross Director of Corporate Communications, John Sewell says 700 employees are being sent home due to a power outage.
