JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - If you wanted to practice your turkey calling skills or try your hand at archery this weekend, The Mississippi Trade Mart was the place to be.
Sunday, a trophy was awarded to the hunter who shot the biggest deer. The three day event kicked off Friday. We found grabbling and turkey calling demonstrations, as well as high-flying retrievers. About 200 vendors packed the building to help enthusiasts get ready for hunting season.
"Extravaganza has been real good this weekend, great crowds. The weather has cooperated which is really good. It's just hot enough to where there is really nothing else going on that you really want to do outside so it's a great weekend to go inside, look around and see what we' ve got in store," said market director Tim Barber.
