17-year-old burglary suspect caught moments after crime

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - An alleged Jackson house burglar caught in the act, is spending the night in jail.

Monday afternoon precinct four officers caught the man on Pimlico Place, after a homeowner claimed the suspect left his home with an armload of electronics.

Police surrounded the area and caught him after a short foot chase.

The 17-year-old suspect cut his hand fleeing officers, and was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The stolen items were found hidden in a backyard on the street.

The suspect was also shackled in leg irons, as a precaution.
