Bond denied for 4th capital murder suspect


GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Gulfport police have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with the slaying and robbery of 30-year-old Courtney Beavers.

Sgt. Chris Ryle tells The Sun Herald that 20-year-old John Goodman was taken into custody Monday on a capital murder charge at his home

Justice Court Judge Gene Dedeaux ordered Goodman held with no bond at the Harrison County jail, where three other suspects in the case remain in custody.

Police released no additional details except to say the investigation continues.

Beavers was found shot to death in his duplex apartment on July 2.

It was not immediately known whether Goodman has an attorney.
