PELAHATCHIE, MS (WLBT) - One lane of Interstate 20 in Rankin County is back open Wednesday night, but another remains closed after an 18-wheeler accident.
The big truck, hauling text books, overturned in the median near mile marker 65, close to Pelahatchie shortly before 3 p.m..
Throughout the early evening hours into rush hour, crews shut down one or both lanes of eastbound traffic while working to clear the scene.
A Medi-Vac helicopter was on the scene as rescuers prepared to transport at least one patient.
No word on the person's identity or condition.
