JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - There may be a change of plans in the memorial service planned for fallen Jackson Police Officer Glen Agee.
As it stands, visitation is scheduled for Thursday at the Westhaven Funeral Home on Robinson Road from 10 am to 6 p.m.. The service is set for Friday at 10 am at the Jackson State University Assembly Center, with burial at Old Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church cemetery in Collins.
But attorneys for his estate plan to file an emergency injunction in Hinds Chancery Court Thursday morning to stop the visitation and memorial service.
Agee's mother, father, and brother Dwight say those arrangements were made by Agee's wife Maya, with whom he has a four year old child. But attorneys say the two have been estranged since October 2008.
Officer Agee had moved on, and had a four month old child with another woman.
"My mom and dad are really hurting about what's going on. My brother grew up in Collins," says Officer Agee's brother Dwight.
Agee's parents and brother are planning a memorial service for 1 p.m. Saturday at Old Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Collins.
