2nd suspect sought in Pascagoula man's slaying

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - Pascagoula police say they're searching for a second suspect in the shooting death of a local businessman.

Police Lt. Davy Davis say 28-year-old Daniel Lamont Hatten will be charged with capital murder when he's caught.

Hatten is accused in the slaying and robbery this week of Johnny M. Bullock, a professional dog handler and groomer.

Davis says Hatten should be considered armed and dangerous.

Rodney Phillip McKenzie of Pascagoula arrested Tuesday and charged with capital murder in Bullock's death. Bullock was found in his van on Tuesday after it crashed into a power pole guy wire.

Pascagoula Police Chief Kenny Johnson says it's not known why the suspects were in the van with Bullock, but authorities believe a small amount of cash and prescription pain pills were taken.
