Officer Agee's estranged wife plans to sue the mother of his youngest child

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The same day Jackson Police Officer Glen Agee was buried the father of his estranged wife declared they are filing suit against the mother of Agee's youngest child.

Officer Agee was remembered at a funeral in Jackson Friday.  A second memorial service and a burial was held at the Old Hopewell Baptist Church in Collins Saturday afternoon.  Then Saturday evening Willis Washington, Jr. and his daughter Mihia Agee held a press conference in downtown Jackson to announce they will be filing an alienation of affection lawsuit against Courtnie Thomas.  Thomas is the mother of Agee's four month old child.

Mihia and Glen Agee were married, but had been separated for two years.  Washington said his daughter received harassing text and Facebook messages from Thomas, but would not go into detail.

"They didn't take the high road and put our name on the road so we have a duty to clear the record and also speak for the legal institution of marriage and that's what I've done.  We decide the road we take, whether that's the high road or the low road. In fact we think this is the high road.  We've said nothing until the appropriate time.  We believe now is the appropriate time" said Willis Washington, Junior.

Washington said he may be filing a defamation and slander of character lawsuit against Agee's siblings and parents because they went public with their intentions to stop the memorial service Mihia Agee was planning in Jackson.
