JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Jackson man who went missing in action during the Korean War is coming home nearly 60 years later - for burial, with full military honors.

The funeral of Corporal Roy Stewart was scheduled for Tuesday at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington D.C.

Stewart was captured by enemy forces in late November 1950 and reportedly died March 14th, 1951, while in captivity in North Korea. The department of defense announced Friday that representatives from the Army met recently with Stewart's next of kin to coordinate the burial's move to the capital city.
