RANKIN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A Rankin County man is behind bars, charged with murdering his step-father. The shooting took place inside Marshall Alexander's home on Virginia Valley Drive, north of Brandon.

According to the sheriff's department, Alexander was shot twice Sunday night during an argument with his stepson, Servon Alexander Moss. Moss was on the scene when deputies arrived, and they say he surrendered.

Alexander and Moss both worked as loan officers. The dispute involved their work relationship, according to Sheriff Ronnie Pennington. The Sheriff did not provide details.
