Former NWR teacher pleads guilty to sex with teen

RANKIN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A former Northwest Rankin High School teacher plead guilty to sex charges.

Thirty-eight-year-old Kelly Finn Blossom was charged with having sex with a 16-year-old student in 2009.

Monday she pled guilty and was sentenced to 20 years, all suspended.

Blossom also received five years supervised probation and will be required to register as a sex offender.

The offer was made after the victim and the victim's father informed authorities that they did not want him to testify.
