HATTIESBURG, MS (WLBT) - A Greene County supervisor faces up to five years in prison for charges related to Hurricane Katrina fraud.
A federal jury convicted Earnest Holder of a tax evasion charge Friday.
Prosecutors say Holder conspired with a former supervisor to receive illegal kickbacks from a company hired for debris clean up.
69-year-old Holder is scheduled to be sentenced October 28th in the U.S. District Court in Hattiesburg.
The jury acquitted Holder of a second tax fraud charge and was deadlocked on related charges of bribery, perjury and conspiracy.
