Name revealed of teen involved in wreck that killed teacher

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The name of the teenager involved in a deadly wreck in Jackson last week has been revealed.

Reports identify the 19-year-old as Ethan Van Cise.

Van Cise was driving a silver truck when he crossed the center line on River Thames Road crashing, head-on, into the car Leigh Anne Ward was driving .

Emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to extract 35-year-old Ward from her car.

She was later pronounced dead at the University Medical Center.

Both vehicles landed on their side in a homeowner's front yard.

No charges have been filed in the case.

Jackson police are planning to reconstruct the accident at some point this week.
