JACKSON, MS (WLBT)- Police are investigating an overnight home invasion that ended in a double shooting, leaving one man dead and sending another to the hospital.

Police captured two of the men they believe are involved; they are still on searching for another.

The home invasion happened just after midnight in the 800 block of Monterey Street in South Jackson.

Police say two men forced their way inside the home, while two others waited outside. All four wore dark clothing and black and white bandanas.

According to police, one of the men said, "We don't play games," then fired shots from a rifle, hitting one of the residents.

The 21-year-old victim fled to a neighbor's house to call police. He was hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries, then returned to the scene, in his hospital gown, several hours later, after one of the armed robbery suspects was found dead less than 100 feet away.

He was lying face down on nearby Gunda Street.

Police believe the man was shot by one of his fellow armed robbers.

The two men who have been captured will be charged with capitol murder. Detectives are still on the lookout for a fourth armed robber.

At this point, police are not releasing the names of anyone involved.
