Jackson, MS (WLBT) - Traffic was slowed to a crawl on a stretch of Interstate 20 in Rankin County Monday morning.
I-20 westbound was reduced to one lane as Mississippi Department of Transportation crews worked to clean-up an 18-wheeler that lost its load.
The flatbed was carrying signs. The signs were scattered in the median at mile marker 51 between Airport and Pearson Roads.
MDOT officials say the accident occurred Sunday, but the rain interfered with clean-up efforts. According to MDOT, the left lane will re-open Monday afternoon.
