OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Thomas Ramage Ethridge, a former U.S. attorney in north Mississippi, died Monday at his home in Oxford. He was 92.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Oxford with a private family graveside service at Oxford Memorial Cemetery, officials with Waller Funeral Home said Tuesday.
Ethridge served in the Mississippi State Senate from 1948-1954 and served as U.S. attorney from 1954-1961. He was a partner in the law firm of Ethridge and Grisham and was a professor of law at the University of Mississippi Law School.
The World War II veteran was born in West Point in 1918. He received his law degree from Ole Miss.
Survivors include two daughters, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
