HINDS COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - The Hinds County man accused of killing his daughter and son-in-law has been indicted on two murder charges.
A grand jury handed down the indictment Friday against 64-year-old James Bailey of Terry. He faces possible life sentences for the murder charges and an additional five years for a gun enhancement.
The fatal shootings occurred July 23rd at the victims' home in the 11-hundred block of Garrett Road in Terry. Authorities say 40-year-old Becky Nelson was shot in the chest, arm and chin. Her husband, 39-year-old Ricky Nelson was shot in the head and chest.
Investigators believe the murders were the result of an ongoing dispute.
