JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - An elderly Jackson woman says she has been mistreated by a local pastor.

Eighty-nine-year-old Mary Jackson says she allowed men working for Pastor Larry Weems to run a sewer line across her property to connect to a city line.

Weems is the Pastor of Davis Temple Church of God In Christ.

The Jackson family asked Pastor Weems to remove the line when they learned from the city that it was an illegal connection.

After he didn't respond, they say they took him to environmental court, where they won a judgement of $500.

The Jackson family says the hole left behind is now attracting snakes and other rodents.

Jackson's daughter Sarah Beard says, "When we went back to court the only thing he could do is plead guilty because he knew what he did was wrong. It was illegal. He didn't have a permit to do the job and he took advantage of an 89 year old's property."

In 2006 Pastor Weems was charged with five counts of sexual assault and harassment while he was Superintendent of the Saints Academy and College in Lexington.

He settled all five cases out of court.

We were unable to contact Pastor Weems for comment.
