JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - An argument between a grandmother and her granddaughter did not end well for the granddaughter in Jackson.
It happened inside a house in the 6500 block of Van Buren Street around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Jackson Police spokesman Colendula Green says the 60-year-old woman grabbed a gun from her bedroom during the argument and the weapon accidentally discharged. Green says a bullet ricocheted off the ground and grazed her 14-year-old granddaughter in the ankle.
The girl was treated for a minor injury at a hospital.
No charges have been filed, but police are still investigating.
Green did not release names.
