Research says poor families must change to be helped

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - In this classroom at Voice of Calvary Ministries on Capitol Street in Jackson, people who work with families in poverty are learning how to offer more successful service.

"85% of research on poverty indicates that disadvantaged families need to change in order for you to be able to help them," says Karin VanZant, a national coach with the "Move the Mountain" organization.
