JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A north Jackson grocery store is beefing up security in the wake of yet another attack on a customer in the parking lot. Police say the latest incident happened August 15th.
Store manager Mike Fuller says the store will use more off-duty Hinds County Deputies.
According to police, a woman was walking to her vehicle when she was followed by a gunman. The man apparently attempted to push her into the SUV. A fight ensued and the attacker fled on a bicycle.
Similar attacks have occurred in the same Kroger parking lot this year.
After one incident, the crime brought out members of the Guardian Angels to provide assistance to customers if they wanted it.
