JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

JACKSON COUNTY (WLOX) - A Gautier man is charged with Felony Child Abuse after investigators say he gave a teenage girl a tattoo at his home.

The girl's parents contacted authorities after their 14-year-old came home with a tattoo on her lower hip. The parents say her body has been permanently mutilated, and that the teen didn't know if the tattoo needles were sterile.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department arrested Jeremy Lee Stewart, 32, on a charge of Felony Child Abuse. After some investigation, the sheriff's department found Stewart did not have a tattoo license.

He's being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center. Stewart was also charged with Possession of a Gun by a Convicted Felon.
