JACKSON, MS (WLBT)- The Mississippi Bond Commission voted unanimously Friday to loan the city of Jackson six million dollars to upgrade its water system.
Governor Haley Barbour says the move is based on the city's intentions to get additional funding through existing state infrastructure programs. The three-member commission is comprised of the governor, treasurer Tate Reeves and Attorney General Jim Hood.
